"Church" Of Scientology International
Linda Simmons Hight is the Media Relations Director for "Church" of Scientology International. Previously she was a writer and editor and publisher of the "Church's" human rights investigative journal, Freedom Magazine, founded in 1968.
Prior "Church" positions include public affairs director and president of the "Church" of Scientology of Arizona in Phoenix. Earlier, she was a writer and editor for a business and finance magazine, two Southwest lifestyle magazines and an airline magazine. Her professional background also includes visual arts coordinator with the Arizona Arts Commission, the Taos (New Mexico) Arts Association. She also worked in public relations for a public television station.
She holds a B.A. degree in English from Pennsylvania State University and an M.A. in Humanities from Arizona State University. Journalism awards include a first place writing award from Western Publications Association and numerous awards from California Press Women for Freedom Magazine and other human rights publications of the "Church".
