I heard a 3rd hand story that LRH once commented while taking an evening walk at La Quinta, with some staff, and the subject of other civilizations came up.

LRH was asked about contact, and he looked up at some stars for a few quiet minutes, and then said "they'll be here in about 200 years." This was late 70's.

This intrigued me while I was in the Sea Org and in the Scientology movement. I figured this type of story was absolutely true, that LRH did in fact make these types of personal revelations of his opinions about the long future wholetrack visiting of aliens to earth.

I figured when I got to the OT levels (which I never did), that in the writings for the OT level courses would be LRH's opinions about aliens and their future coming back to earth, etc.

These opinions certainly had behind the scenes serious weight in my mind, regarding the "truth" of mankind's supposed predicament.

On these little rumors, of LRH's opinions like of aliens returning to earth, these ideas about the vastness of mankind's long range settling here on earth, all blended in my mind into my concept of what all "we" in the Sea Org (with our billion year contracts, with the Sea Org symbol being a representation of a wholetrack, space confederacy), all the "science fiction" predictions blended right into my overall concept of my life in the Sea Org, and the monumental role us Sea Org members were playing in this unacknowledged "game" that mere earthlings and normal people fathomed little.

This type of small rumor or LRH's comments about alien civilizations visiting in 200 years, gives the time frame that the Sea Org and Scientology movement has within which to accomplish its goals of raising people up to the level of causative "exteriorization" abilities, so that they are impervious of body death, and as "OT" supermen and women, people are able to withstand the future space battles when the aliens inevitably return.

That is the behind the scenes vision and rationale that even drove me, a mere "Grade 0" Sea Org, decades long staffer.

These are strange clearly science fiction views, blended with the long held past and future lives concepts, from a man who's impacted a lot of people lives with these historically as yet unprovable myth/fantasies.
