Well, you've finally done it. You've made your choice. Choosing between a human rights organization and a wretched bastard of a cult, and deciding in favor of the cult. Very well done, Clearwater.

Rather than keeping a small group dedicated to helping cult victims, you chose to select a criminally convicted syndicate that sneaked into town under a false name, bought up major properties it pays no taxes on, heavily influences your courts and police department, put cameras in public places to monitor citizens, terrorizes citizens who speak out, set up several critics in order to press charges, and burdens the health department with numerous accidental deaths, suicides, and deaths from treatable ailments, and finally, put in a big, prisonlike, butt-ugly building smack in the center of the city's skyline, topped with a big old Scientology double cross.

You fucking deserve what you get, Clearwater. You've won a dismal future and a reputation as a place people would not wish to visit on vacation.

Despite your sad attempts to become a tourist town, you will not succeed, because having a UFO cult occupy your city is not really much of an attraction or incentive to visit.

The sad thing is, there are many citizens of Clearwater who don't want the cult in their town. Unfortunately, money talks, and you've shown you are more than willing to whore your city council and police department out to a rich, powerful, evil entity, an organization that shatters lives, minds, and families. I feel sorry for those citizens. They won't speak out against the cult because they are afraid of the consequences.

What you'll have now is a city under total clam control, a city where fear and revulsion towards Scientology walk hand in hand under the cameras.

You city council members will be sorry. Nobody will come to your backwater burg and spend big tourist dollars. Scientology is, more and more, being exposed for the vicious scam that it is. If you are stupid enough to not look past the dog collars and religious trappings, if you can't see that fraud and abuse are what Scientology is really about, and money and power, you deserve to have your names engraved on a Wall of Shame that should stand in the Clearwater Memorial you should build in remembrance of the future you could have had. The only money flow around the cult is a one way flow; the "Church" of Scientology is a black hole.

You think those 700 Scientology visitors are going to leave money in your community? That's a laugh, yes it is. What makes you think the cult is going to leave the poor suckers any disposable income outside of maybe the cost of a bus ticket home?

The sad thing is, you people who facilitated the cult taking Clearwater will never be held accountable. You just gave them the city, and now Clearwater will be Scientology's bitch. They will teach you how to bend over and take it, and they'll make you thank them for the privilege.

Enjoy your future, Clearwater. I'm sure it'll be wonderful. Hey, maybe you should just add some rides and rename yourself $cientology City. I'm sure a handful of curious tourists might be lured in to gawk at the mentally conditioned culties, the less than prescient city council, and suicidal Scientologists bobbing in the bay.
