A new web site called MoneyCult.ORG was created as a result of my High School current events class. Here you will find interviews I took of well known civil and human rights activists and a report on what I found out about the Scientology cult. The web site isn't finished because I still need to add a lot of web pages that are missing and I will be getting feed-back forms and questionnaires for people to fill out and send in automatically using E-mail.
One of the things that free speech activists might find the most interesting is what my High School's policy is on using the school's Internet access to perform research on cults and gangs. I found that most schools don't allow their students to access this kind of information because the parents, teachers, and Principles fear that students might get involved in joining cults.
Everyone who helped me with my school project is given a "thank you very much!" and if anyone else has suggestions or comments, please send them to me. I hope to build this web site up so that students at other High Schools can use the Money Cult web site as an example of how Social Science class projects or current events projects can take a look at dangerous cults without angering the PTA, the school's Principal, students, and teachers.
If you've been victimized by Scientology and would like to have your story covered on the Money Cult web site, please take a look at the questionnaire and send me e-mail covering what happened to you and I will add to it the site.
Thank you.
Bryan L. Rice,
The Money Cult
