You need to know a few things about your "religion" of choice. The first thing you need to know is that the "religion" you thought you had joined is not the same as the "religion" you are in. You think Scientology is a system of self improvement - right? Well when you get on your OT levels and get to OT III then you will know otherwise. You will be told you are full of the souls of dead space-aliens called "body thetans" who were brought to Earth in DC-8 space-planes 75 million years ago by the then evil galactic ruler Xenu whom LRH said was still alive to this day. The idea is to exorcise them and then you supposedly get super powers and are able to live as long as Xenu. Of course this is all tripe and OT's don't live any longer than wogs and have special powers to match - i.e.

none.

But that's the OT levels and maybe you weren't planning to get that far.

Maybe you have heard through the grapevine that they are not worth doing. If you look at the OT completions stats in your Source magazine you will see that very few Scientologists want to do them. But there is the State of Clear and that's probably where you want to get. Well the second thing you need to know is that this State of Clear is a fake. You don't get perfect recall. You don't get immunity to colds and flu. You don't get to solve chess puzzles in a fraction of the time. All the State of Clear is is the realization (cognition) that you are mocking up your own reactive mind. Once you have cognited that you are Clear - but then you will be told that "you are under risk" and must move on to the OT levels where they spring this space-cootie thing on you.

Now is that the "religion" you thought you had joined?
