When I read this obit, I wondered if cult shill Peter Ramsay and other similar loyal adherents of the criminally convicted cult realized that Mr. Hagglund was ill when they were trying to get at Gregg through him. Food for thought...
Anyway, judging by Mr. Hagglund's life and how his progeny have done in the world, this man was definitely on the right side of life.

Beloved husband of 60 years to Wilma (nee White) and father to Melanie Evans (Brian), Rodney (Linda) and Gregory (Jennifer). Devoted grandfather to Andrea and Wendy, Christopher and Laura, and a caring step-grandfather and great-grandfather to Brian's children and grandchildren.
Survived by loving brother Gilbert (Hilda), sister Elsie, sister-in-law Alice and their families. Fondly remembered by his many relatives in the White family. Predeceased by mother Karen and father Gustav, brother Adolph and infant son Dennis.
A proud veteran of the RCAF in World War II (Fl. Lt.), he subsequently graduated from U.B.C., received his Master's from the University of Toronto and joined the Federal Department of Transport as a meteorologist in 1950. His postings included command of the remote weather station at Resolute Bay and secondment as a Lt. Cmdr. with the Canadian Navy (Weather Office, HMCS Magnificent) and with National Defence Headquarters. Returning to the Ministry of Transport, he served in increasingly senior positions, retiring as Administrator of the Arctic Transportation Agency in 1979. He later served in various consultative roles including membership on the panel assessing the environmental impact of the Toronto and Vancouver airports, with which he continued until 1989. His retirement years were enriched by friendships at the Highlands Golf Club, R.A. Curling Club and 410 Wing. A Memorial Service will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11th at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street. Interment will take place in British Columbia at a later date. Special thanks to the caring staff with the oncology wing of the General Campus, Ottawa Hospital and the VON. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
