Re: Your letter of July 11th to C.C. Times
Dear Mr. Ofman (Frank:)
If you recall, we had a tit for tat in several newspaper issues
back in the winter and spring of 1999. I challenged you to be
open and honest and debate [church] issues on local cableTV or
regional New England affiliate TV news programs - an
out-in-the-open forum.
In a letter to the editor, you flat out declined this offer and had the readers believe that all the answers about your employer could be found on www.scientology.org and no where else! A Times reader wrote in and noted that "I was ten(10) times more credible than you" on June 4, 1999. You've been silent ever since......until this latest javelin toss just 3 days ago!
I wanted to let you know the offer still stands for us to discuss relevant Scientology and Dianetic issues. However, now we can add to the talk agenda the proper raising of children out in the open too! If that frightens you still, as an alternative we can discuss our respective claims right here on Alt.religion.scientology, a news group devoted to the discussion of the pros and cons of your employer (and church!) Or if you wish, we can chat openly about my children and or my financial position. I read where another critic Andrew (oops I meant AG) offered a scientologist named Mistmagoo55 that frequents this news group the same kind of offer on the webbed TV site devoted to the church - XenuTV. This too could be a forum for us to air our differences. We both have nothing to hide right?
I have been advised, that your July 11th attack of me is borderline libel, that's unless of course you can back up your assertions with collaborated facts. Frank, I wanted you to have the opportunity redeem yourself in front of all of our peers. I am certain as a highly moral and ethical person you would agree.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
<Tom>
