Once in a while, I just cruise down to SD Bay for some recreational fishing with plastic lures and no intention of eating my catch. It's always fun because you can catch these spotted bay bass in front of tourists from many lands.
So I'm down at Seaport Village, fishing the riprap south of the main shopping area, wearing the classic "Scientology Kills" shirt Zinj gave me with the blood drooling off the letters.
These people walked by as I was coming up the rocks to change my lure. One of them saw my shirt and said, "Scientology Tui." I think that means "kill" in French. (eh, Roger?)
So I started talking to them in English, and they had such delightful French accents much like Mr. Gonnet, just lovely, about Scientology. Oddly enough, LRH had reached out and touched their family. A cousin wound up in Clearwater adrift, booted out of the Friendliest Place on Earth with absolutely no resources to get home. She/he is home now, in the family bosom, being cared for and slowly recovering from what, by all accounts, was a soul-destroying experience in Florida.
Way to go, Scientology. I meet a random tourist family down at the water's edge, and they have a nice Scientology horror story to tell me.
And you guys think you are gaining power and acceptance? People from halfway around the world, the odds are I shouldn't run into them. I guess you have spread your net of abuse so widely, it is coming back to bite you in the ASHO.
And what's up with that GE guy you sent here? He blew the "I am a friendly and rational Scientologist" facade like two days after his arrival! Why do your representatives to ARS continue to allow me to annoy them like this? Every time they blow a gasket, it's on this global forum for everyone to see! Or are you so focused on the newsgroup that you forget the world is watching?

"Imagine a church so dangerous, you must sign a release form before you can receive its "spiritual assistance." This assistance might involve holding you against your will for an indefinite period, isolating you from friends and family, and denying you access to appropriate medical care. You will of course be billed for this treatment - assuming you survive it. If not, the release form absolves your caretakers of all responsibility for your suffering and death.
Welcome to the Church of Scientology."
