G'Day All,

I realised with a start the other day that today is my one year anniversary of having left ye olde cultie. Well, I cannot recall the exact date but it was the butt-end of July last year. Today is as close as I can recall. I had no idea it had been so long until a friend of mine asked... Then I realised.

It's been an interesting year. Experienced the withdrawal one encounters when forced to think *without* the $cn mindset. Dropping the lingo was the hardest - I can still use it and am quite fluent in it but I longer *think* with it. Which is the crucial part, IMO.

Suffered harassment at the hands of my former staff members until I moved. My parents suffered harassment at the hands of the local OSA ho' until she finally cognited that pissing off a 30-year experienced cop is a real bad idea. Good thinking, Carmen. Might be hope for you yet.

At the suggestion of a fellow critic, I have a semi-gift of sorts to other ex-members - The URL for my personal blog. Sure, it is listed as a public blog but if you don't know of it you won't necessarily even know of it. Why is this important? Because my last few postings there have dealt a lot with the "coming off" that I still get from time to time. If anything, you can take comfort in the fact that you are not alone. If only one person reads this and it helps them also recover - Then my mission is done.
