An FSM is a Field Staff Member. The group cover story for FSMs is that
they are used to recruit for Scientology. And sure enough, there are
about 15,000 FSMs worldwide. You can see them under the Scientology
clone-drone pages called Ourworld, or something like that.
Now, let's take a little trip deep into Scientology-land, behind the
barbed wire, where the mentally "ill" who disagree with Scientology are
locked in basements until they feel as one with Ron and where "honest"
people believe with all their hearts that the true goal of the group is to
save the world from war, criminality and insanity.
From Scientology's point of view, we were all born Scientologists with an
infinite amount of power. The purpose of OSA, then, is to clear away the
obstacles we have in realizing this implant/goal. So, from Scientology's
point of view, we are all potential Scientology Field Staff Members, each
with an infinite capability for punishment.
We each have different levels of awareness. From Scientology's point of
view, there are knowing and there are unknowing FSMs. It doesn't make any
difference. The purpose is the same: to sew Scientology's group-think,
more precisely, to disseminate Scientology's directed group prejudice.
A respectable cult will send FSMs around in pairs. They will present
themselves in front of you, state their real names, the organization which
they represent and their purpose for addressing you, such as "Hi, my name
is John Smith of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, also known as the
Mormons, and I am here to tell you that I believe in the Book of Mormon!"
John Smith's buddy will be looking on, they are obviously taking turns and
directing each other. If you want to find out about it, you can get a
Book of Mormon and read it and so forth.
That is not the way Scientology FSMs work. Scientology operates under
complete secrecy. Scientology has a respectable name for secrecy; they
call it "privacy." Since the birth of the internet, though, one of the
advantages of studying Scientology is that not only are many of their
secret instructions written down, but they've been published.
Scientology's operating instructions are spread all over the internet,
much to the dismay of Scientology.

What happens if the FSM gets caught? It's his word against that of the
OSA operative. Remember, if the FSM does not have positive proof of his
allegations, he will look like a fool. The OSA will remind him of that a
couple of seconds before the actual mission.

Chances are if somebody has defended Scientology, the most despised cult
of the past century, in court, then that person is regarded by Scientology
as an FSM.
