My name is Kim Palmer and I live in Ontario Canada.

I am a Christian and work as a therapist. I got into this fight because of the blatant bullying and mind control techniques I saw happening in the COS.

I first came to ars about 3 years ago and asked one question "What does Scientology teach/believe" - or something like that.

I received some urls to read - including http://www.xenu.net and http://www.scientology.org I read those two sights and followed the links and did some reading on my own. I read ars and read what various people had to say about it and realized that I could not sit by and be quiet.

I have hesitated in outing myself because of my family but I can no longer, in good conscience, do this. It has been difficult not to say who I am and to continue to criticize the COS.

This is not about religion or spirituality - it is about the blatant abuse of people's rights by the COS management through procedure and policy.

Never in my life have I seen such wanton destruction of people's lives and families by a group.

There are no ethics to be seen in the COS - not according to what I know as ethics. Disconnection is not ethical, disruption of family life in the SO and CO is disgusting. The whole organization by stats is self defeating - sooner or later one runs out of up - then what?

The COS Toronto will see me at a picket soon.
