Dear Ken:

I assume you are aware there is great deal of intense debate in the Lisa M. case on the ARS News Group. I further assume you are aware that there are opinions that range from A to Z and everywhere in between.

Some say the real problem in the protracted hostility and prevention of swift justice is/was Bob Minton, Stacy Brooks, and the LMT. Some say YOU are the problem. I am one who does not believe either of those to be the case. I say with rather strong convictions and first hand knowledge of how the $cientology death-by-litigation machine works, the real problem here is, and will always be, the policies and practices of the Co$. They are masters at diverting attention away from critical core issues and focus.

The purpose of this letter Ken, is to express my deep concerns for a continuing worsening scenario on the i-net that is negatively effecting the public perception of the Estate of Lisa McPherson's case. Frankly that concern is: Ms. Deana Holmes, posting under the name of Merle, who is projecting herself on usenet to be the official spokesperson for the Plaintiffs. Given her hostile attitude, use of vulgarity, constant attacking nature, childish name-calling tactics, and overall unpleasant demeanor, I do not believe this is good for you, your clients, or your case. Following her lead are other posters such as Tigger, Referen, and ptsc also known as Shirley Wilson, Diane Richardson, and Rob Clark, who have adopted Deana's unrelenting unsavory usenet conduct. The worst of those behaviors is taking particles of information from ever-mounting transcript data, that are obviously opinions and allegations, and re-stating them as fact. While Deana may have some legal background and education, her social and public relations skills are sorely lacking. That's not to say she doesn't care about justice for Lisa, as I do believe she truly does.

I am not suggesting that these people should be suppressed or prevented in expressing their opinions and points of view, however, you may want to counsel them quietly "off the record" to cease from projecting themselves to be the spokespersons for you, your case, or your clients. Why? Because IMHO she (they) are causing MUCH more harm than help. This comes into sharper focus, when allegations are being made on the witness stand that critics are more rabid than $cn cult and it's members / defenders.

That being said, I continue express my full support to you in bringing swift justice for Lisa McPherson and her family. To that extent, I'm behind you all the way Ken. I also extend to you my hope and prayers that Judge Schaeffer will bring these sideshow acts to hault, and follow through with her invitation to Florida Prosecutor McCabe, and he in turn brings in the FBI for assistance also. And then maybe, your can get on with your job as representation for the Plaintiffs, and the TRUE merits of the case.......which in IMHO you will win hands down once all the facts are presented.
