Dear Ms. Paquette,

I will of course do whatever my counsel suggests I do, but
this is stretching it.
The person's name could well be L. Ron Hubbard and have a perfect right to use it.
Even if if it wasn't their name, I believe you are on very shakey ground here with no precedent whatsoever to back your claim.
> Accordingly, on behalf of our client, we hereby request that these postings

Although I can of course cancel the postings, I can not block
the making of such postings.

Dear Mr. Wagner:
If you will recall, you and I dealt with each other on a previous matter pertaining to your client, Lightlink.com. It was my understanding at that time, that if any other similar such matters were to arise that I was to go through you.
Unfortunately, I am writing to you again. In this matter, our office represents Religious Technology Center ("RTC"), the owner of the trademark and service mark "L. Ron Hubbard." This mark is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office under registration number 1,821,751. We also represent the Church of Scientology International ("CSI"), which is the licensee of the "L. Ron Hubbard" trademark. Mr. Hubbard is the founder of the Scientology religion.
We have been informed that someone made several postings using this trademark in the e-mail address "l.ronhubbard@mad.scientist.com".
Copies of those postings are attached hereto.
This person's use of this mark in his e-mail address to post through your client's system has caused Lightlink to be falsely associated with our client's registered mark as owner and creates a likelihood of confusion as to source or sponsorship of this posting, in violation of United States state and federal law, including the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1015 et seq., and various state and foreign laws.
Accordingly, on behalf of our client, we hereby request that these postings be canceled and that this person be blocked from engaging in this activity in the future.

In complaining about my email Address, L.RONHUBBARD@MAD.SCIENTIST.com, she
also mentioned some posts they were upset about. This is one of the posts
Ava's letter complained about, it actually never
had a full printing of L. RON HUBBARD, only Ron, BUT, now, even at the
sake of melodic flow, i will change all the Rons, to L. Ron Hubbard, and all
OTs to L. Ron Hubbard, and all clears, to L. Ron Hubbards. just for fun.
Don't forget, to sing along!.
I don't think i can really get in trouble for posting someone's name, unless i'm falsly accusing someone , attacking someone, or threatening someone, AKA, stuff scientology does, If it hurts the Church of Scientology for someone to type up and post their OWN documents, then that is, in my opinion, a bit odd, don't know very many Christians® that get upset when you qoute the Bible® , , remember that was only 1 page out of the dissemination guide, image what more i could POST,HAHAHAHA. Maybe i'll post my OT pamplets i got from the San Fran org, people would get a kick out that. Heck, maybe it would even convince a few people to not join your evil little cult, who knows!
SP forever!
Scientologists, listen to me, the reactive mind, it's a mess, life up at L.
RON HUBBARD, is better than anything they got down there
The L. RON HUBBARD's are always L. RON HUBBERER, they cannot make a mistake
You dream about getting up there
But do you have what it takes
The books and the tapes around you, just stand here and take a look
You have all these tools around you, just open up your check book
Up at L. RON HUBBARD
Up at L. RON HUBBARD
Darling it's sweeter
grab your e-meter
Listen to me
Up in the org they work all day
Auditing their thetans away
While all that you fear
Is becoming clear
Under L. RON HUBBARD
At L. RON HUBBARD1 you get happy
Get rid of reactive mind
Unlocking all your powers
The secrets that you will find
But this is not an easy job
Perfection yes it will call
You can't even use real people
We give you an old rag doll
Up at L. RON HUBBARD
Up at L. RON HUBBARD
When life gets hectic
Try dianetics
It works you'll see
With L. RON HUBBARD3 we're going back
when planet earth was teegeeack
We got the knowledge
For the crossing the bridge
Up at L. RON HUBBARD
Up at L. RON HUBBARD
Ron found the secrets
That's why started
Scientology
People that stop you from L. RON HUBBARD
We have a word for them L. RON HUBBARD
We give them the blame
We call them fair game
Up at L. RON HUBBARD
You start out you see
Yes with auditing
You go up the chart
And you sounding sharp
You yes can win
With some niacin
And LSD helps a case
You learn all the moves and right things to say
You make little model guys out of clay
You hold onto to cans
And get back your tans
And OH those engrams BLOW!
Up at L. RON HUBBARD
Up at L. RON HUBBARD

Hhhmmm, but 15 USC 1064 had some interesting information:
U.S. Code as of: 01/05/99
Section 1064. Cancellation of registration
A petition to cancel a registration of a mark, stating the
grounds relied upon, may, upon payment of the prescribed fee, be
filed as follows by any person who believes that he is or will be
damaged by the registration of a mark on the principal register
established by this chapter, or under the Act of March 3, 1881, or
the Act of February 20, 1905:
-----------------<snip>------------------------------------------------ (5) At any time in the case of a certification mark on the ground that the registrant (A) does not control, or is not able ^^^^^^^^^^ legitimately to exercise control over, the use of such mark, or ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ (B) engages in the production or marketing of any goods or services to which the certification mark is applied, or (C) permits the use of the certification mark for purposes other than to certify, or (D) discriminately refuses to certify or to continue to certify the goods or services of any person who maintains the standards or conditions which such mark certifies:
Provided, That the Federal Trade Commission may apply to cancel on the grounds specified in paragraphs (3) and (5) of this section any mark registered on the principal register established by this chapter, and the prescribed fee shall not be required. Nothing in paragraph (5) shall be deemed to prohibit the registrant from using its certification mark in advertising or promoting recognition of the certification program or of the goods or services meeting the certification standards of the registrant.
Such uses of the certification mark shall not be grounds for
cancellation under paragraph (5), so long as the registrant does
not itself produce, manufacture, or sell any of the certified
goods or services to which its identical certification mark is
applied.
This would be likened to my "evil twin brother" registering his name
as a trademark, he can't legitimately exercise control over the name.
