These questions will of course have been asked a thousand times before. I have asked them myself, although as part of a previous thread, and evidently nobody noticed them who was willing to answer.
And I make no bones about the fact that I ask them as a skeptic. However, if any Scientologist feels they might be able to put me right on anything here, or explain any of the questions I have problems with, I will undertake to read and consider their replies with an open mind. Standard doctrine might tell you that that I cannot fulfil that undertaking, so if you are unwilling to take me at my word on this then so be it.
My questions are as follows:
1. The Galactic Confederation was suffering from overpopulation, yet was capable of interstellar travel. Why, in that case, did it have a population problem in such a large Galaxy?
2. I understand from reading the story of Xenu that he took a large number of people in ships to Teegeeack. On www.xenu.net the figure quoted is 17.5 trillion. How long did it take Xenu to marshal the enormous resources that would have been required for such a staggering logistical operation? How many people could be stored on a single ship? How many trips were made? And finally, who paid for it all?
3. On arrival at Teegeeack, Xenu accommodated 17.5 trillion people on the volcanic islands of Hawaii and the Canaries. The volcanic nature of these islands makes it unlikely that they were as large as they are now so long ago. Indeed, the oldest Hawaiian volcano is dated at 81 million years. It would be hard enough to accommodate the current world population of roughly 6.5 billion in these two locations. How did he manage to squeeze on so many?
4. If his intention was to kill these people, why go all the way to Teegeeack? Why not simply jettison them into space and save the munitions?
5. Having killed them, why then take the trouble to integrate his story of false religions into their tormented souls? Why not just forget about them and go home?
6. We are told Xenu was captured and imprisoned by 'Loyal Officers'. Presumably their society disallows execution for any magnitude of crime, since even the brutal murder of 17.5 trillion people was not considered to justify it. However, my question is: to whom were these loyal officers loyal? Given the sheer scale of the relocation operation, can Xenu possibly have accomplished it without the backing of the Confederation?
7. Why did the ships used look like DC-8s? A spacegoing vessel has no need for wings, and an efficient spacecraft design would take advantage of this fact. The resistance to forward acceleration which would be caused by interstellar dust and other particles would be negligible. And we are told the ships were powered by rocket engines. A rocket engine uses enormous quantities of fuel very quickly, and cannot propel a vehicle to any significant percentage of the speed of light. How long did the journey to Teegeeack take, and over what distance?
I would be interested in any replies and explanations you might be able to offer.
