Check this out.
Talking to an acquaintance of mine, I have learned that Scientology flacks Peter Ramsay and Dan Bryenton attempted to intimidate me back in November-December, shortly before I was 'outed' here on this newsgroup.
The punchline: They emailed said acquaintance thinking I was him. Said acquaintance didn't know I was Raptavio until some months later... last week, in fact.
What follows is two emails from Peter Ramsay, vaguely threatening and wholly
ineffctive like most of Peter's
posts, and then the exchange between Dan and the co-worker.

Good morning to "Raptavio, King of ARSCC (wdne) Intelligentsia"!
Tell me, Rich.
"ARSCC (wdne) Intelligentsia"?
Surely you meant to write "ARSCC Intelligentsia (wdne)". Yes?

Listen to me, my friend "Raptavio".
You have a decision to make. Make it. Thereafter, abide by the consequences of your decision.
Free speech is a double-edged sword. Your ally William Hagglund can attest to this fact.
I see no further need for any correspondence between us.
Goodbye, Rich.

Rich's responses.

Rich, A fella by the "handle" Raptavio in one of the newsgroups I frequent,
is using your computer. Tell him I said hello. I liked your site by the
way... Best Daniel BryentonToronto, Canada

What do you mean, he's using my computer? Which newsgroup, incidentally?
I got some threatening email from so twit claiming I was this person a while back. Seemed to be tied into scientology in some way.

Um, thanks, but it's hopelessly out of date,

Computer signature is the same, i.e. same computer used.
No threat...just thought I'd say hello..

Rich,
Your computer "signature" is the one he posts with and the only two
names on
this "signature" is you and he.
It's doubtful that this individual "hacked" into your computer but it's possible, I guess...
I met "Raptavio" here once (Toronto) and while he looks like you...he was much more overweight than your picture.
At any rate, have a nice day. No harm, no threat, just curious...
Best,
Daniel Bryenton

By signature, do you mean IP address? In searching DejaNews, I've seen
he is posting some of the time from visi.com, which is my ISP. They use
DHCP, which temporarily assigns an IP address from a pool every time
someone dials in. They're released when they disconnect and made
available for following callers. So any number of people may have posted
from the same IP address.
If you mean something else, I'd be real curious what you do mean. In any case, I'm not Raptavio and had never heard of him until you and another person emailed me about him.
