The following is a reply to the freewinds mailing:

Warning to anyone who has ever visited or plans to visit Scientology's OT ship called the Freewinds [no OTs There Either.. ] A licensed architect, Lawrence Woodcraft was assigned to prepare detailed plans for remodeling the interior cabins and other spaces on the Freewinds following its purchase by Scientology in 1987. Shortly after arriving on the ship, he noticed a powdery blue fibrous substance under a layer of paint. Upon closer inspection, he recognized it to be "blue" asbestos, the most dangerous form of this carcinogen. Mr. Woodcraft wrote a sworn- under-penalty-of-perjury declaration concerning this revelation and about his attempts to alert Sea Org officers (including David Miscavige's sister-in-law and my old friend Bitty Miscavige) about the problem, and their refusal to remove it.

Scientologists who have been exposed to this potentially deadly substance on the Freewinds, are urged to seek real medical advice from qualified doctors regarding the long-term impact of of even brief contact with such a deadly carcinogen as "blue" asbestos.

Thanks to an Ex-Sea Organization member, and Architect, Mr.

Lawrence Woodcraft for blowing the whistle about Scientology's utter contempt for the well-being of people who have worked on and visited the Freewinds.

Scientology management has known about this for many years.

I have seen you displaying DEGRADING AND UNTRUE ACCUSATIONS about the Church of Scientology in front of our church at 1701 20th Street NW, Washington DC. Now that the bogus court case you were promoting has been thrown ut by the judge, you are promoting a new HATE CAMPAIGN about the church's Retreat moror vessel, the Free Winds.

As you seem to be motivated strictly by hate and destructive antisocial impulses, you undoubtedly care nothing about the truth of your accusations. In fact, I suspect you already know that the asbestos situation you described in the communication I recieved in the mail last week was completely eliminated many years ago when the ship was totally overhauled right after the church purchased it.

I know that some other members of my church have received similiar hate mail from you. To somehow obtain a list of our church members and get their their home addresses for mailings from your hate group is a chilling attack upon our First Amendment rights. Spam mail is very against the etiquette of the internet, so why do you think Spam mail through the US POstal service to complete strangers is somehow acceptable?

Lee Terbush has been a loyal Scientologist for many years, since before 1978 when I met him. He is not about to believe that the blue stuff on the FW is bad for you. He has bought the shore story (yes, I'm saying this) hook, line and sinker.

And through all the years of Scientology training and studying how to know, as well as supervising children on various courses, he never learned to spell the word "receive." They are truly all bozos on that bus ...
