Today, 30/Sep/01, at around 11:30 in the morning I visited Scientology's "Criminon International" head quarters at 11712 Moorpark, Studio City, California, 91604-2154, to see what Criminon's International head quarters was like. This appears to be Scientology's base of operations for their Criminon's Criminon.ORG Internet fake front. I checked the registration for Criminon.ORG, found that it appears to be their International head quarters, then went off to take a look at their offices.

What I found wasn't impressive.

Take the Laural Canyon Ave. off ramp from the 101 Freeway and take a left on Moorpark. Before you get to Colfax Avenue, look on your right for a three-story grey building that's across the street from a dry cleaners and a nail-clipping place, next to a coin-operated laundry and a school for little kids.

(818) 501 5001 Two floors actually have offices and there's parking on the bottom floor, it looks like. There are a lot of offices for talent agencies and other small-time, dubious businesses.

The building inside is shabby enough though not actually in a badly run-down condition yet. Walking through the place looking for room 102 -- Criminon International -- we find a lot of strange businesses. "Vital Products" in room 101 but that's not next to room 102 so we walk around. "Spring Bay Counseling" and "Life Counseling Center" are apparently two other businesses. No idea what they are but they sound like Scientology fronts, don't they?

We backtracked looking for room 102 and finally found it.

There was a heap of garbage with rotting food in it standing outside of Criminin International's office, the remains of food delivered by "DailyGrill.COM -- take out daily." The fly-covered garbage had a complete hamburger rotting inside along with a salad and other piles of unidentifiable food.

I start to think that Daily Grill delivered some food that nobody was around to pay for so the delivery person simply left it but poking around the bags we find an empty bottle of water and an empty bottle of what might have been orange juice. Packets of stuff that might have been used -- hard to tell. But the Scientology cult simply ate what they wanted and set the rest outside for the flys. None of the other businesses on levels 2 or 3 had garbage piled outside of them, incidentally.

The sign for this International organization was a Laser- printed piece of paper taped to the inside of a window, "Criminon International" with "102" carved in wood and nailed to the building. The size of this International organization's head quarters was around 7 paces by 7 paces -- hard to tell since they were closed and all the blinds were closed on all of the windows. We couldn't even see what was inside of it clearly but I got the impression of endless cardboard boxes but really one couldn't see anything inside clearly.

Right outside of Criminon's International apparent head quarters is the elevator and behind the elevator is empty buckets, gardening supplies, and more trash, blown there by the winds -- couldn't tell if it was left out front by the Scientology folks.

Cracks in the building's walls are in good repair -- needs to be painted after being spackeled in. Heavy vegetation is planted all over the place to make it look better -- didn't poke around to see if they're covering up building flaws.

Any way, it's just another pathetic fake front for Scientology that apparently does nothing but mail out flyers and who knows what all else. For an "International" operation they're pretty pathetic.
