Makes perfect sense to me. The Easter Bunny agrees. The Tooth Fairy left to take a cellphone call.
But here's where Scientology goes beyond the ordinary reincarnation stuff: Scientology says they can teach you to RECALL incidents from your past lives. I don't think you'll find mainstream Hindus or Buddhists making promises like that.
And of course, if any of the TEN MILLION (cough cough) Scientologists out there could actually recall their prior life as a space alien, then surely ONE of them would recall SOMETHING more interesting than Hubbard's crappy space opera. Why hasn't one of these geniuses invented something like the World Wide Web, or PostIt Notes, or some equally useful idea they encountered a few million years ago when they were a giant hairy octopus on Rigel 7?
