In light of this election, I really have to say that America deserves most of what's wrong with it, and in particular Scientology.
Since Scientology is mostly an American problem, and America deserves whatever it gets at this point, I don't see any reason to bother with it at this point.
American democracy is a sick joke, like a slightly more layered version of the fake elections in the USSR, with a party of cowards called Democrats content to be the bottom bitch in a bogus duopoly, with the reality being eternal Republican rule. Probably we'll soon even do away with the sham of having fake elections every four years to create the illusion that a vote actually means anything.
Scientology should continue to thrive, and will probably thrive in any corrupt society manufactured in such a system.
I suppose I might comment on it from time to time for amusement value but really, why bother putting real effort into removing a zit from the face of a society that is terminally ill?

That is what I told my brother and other friends via e-mail a few minutes ago. One can fight for light, enlightenment, truth, progress, sanity, and sanity.... and the forces of hate, ignorance, greed, darkness, ignorance, and insanity still prevail. Due mostly to American citizens being very, very gullible, uneducated, ignorant, and superstitious. http://holysmoke.org/ll/blame.htm explains it best.

You seem to be making a good, sound, wise decision. However, Scientology is still a danger outside of the USA.
Thereb was a time when evil only prospered when good people did nothing; now, good people march under the banner of liberty and freedom in huge, massive numbers, fighting the good fight.... and lose, miserably.

Er, America (the United States of America) has not been a democracy for almost 200 years. How can it be a democracy when only the hype- ultra-ultra rich get nominated by a "major" political party?
>layered version of the fake elections in the USSR, with
Yes, the USA elections for the past decade and a half have certainly been a circus, where one side (in general) engages in gross abuse and the other side (in general) fears retaliating in kind least it look like the enemy they insist they despise. I know the solution (ban political parties), but our rulers will never allow democracy to occure in the USA. *NEVER!*

It's called "The one-party system." Or "The old bad cop, worse cop trick." Solution: outlaw political parties--- let candidates run on their own merit (if any), and not their party affiliation.

Agreed. Bush2 lies with impunity, and has shown zero shame in doing so; he doesn't even bother trying to mask his lies; he doesn't even bother making his lies the least bit plausible. His contempt for Americans is complete.

Please note that many (many!) millions of American citizens are utterly horrified and angered and dismayed and AFRAID of the next four miserable, ruinous years ahead. Short of armed revolt, what else could we have done to save our country from the treasonous mob?

The Democrats should have cheated "tit-for-tat." They lost the country to darkness and hatred because they didn't want to act like Republicans.
o) Black neighborhoods received pamphlets pretending to be from the "Black Voters League of _________ (State)" that told black people they may not vote if they or any of their family members were ever arrested; they were told they will face ten years in prison if they break that (non-existant) law; they were told their children would be taken away from them.
o) Black people were told they were not elligible to vote if they registered during NAACP voter registration drives.
o) telephone calls to registered Democrats were made telling them their polling places were moved; telling them they are not registered to vote; telling them the police were waiting to arrest them for unpaid traffic fines if they showed up at the polls; telling them they may vote via telephone.
o) telephone calls were made my people pretending to be democrats in support of Kerry, telling people to vote for "gay marriage" by voting for Kerry; telling people they should vote for Kerry so that he will be able to, finally, ban the Bible.
o) Diebold machines that check the "Bush2" box when the "Kerry" name is pressed; balloting machines that leave no record.
o) Ballots that listed Kerry as candicate number three, that voters had to punch out box *FOUR* to vote for---- Bush2's box was number tree. This "coincidence" seems highly suspicious to me.
the list goes on and on.
And this is suppoded to be a democracy!
