Scientology representatives have claimed many times that Hubbard was a millionaire even before he wrote Dianetics and started Scientology. They claimed he supported his research into Scn'gy and Dianetics by being one of the most successful writers of his time. As one will plainly see, nothing could have been further than the truth.
