Ron the Psych Squirrel
and the
Missed Withhold
Scientology doctrine states that if a being has a secret which it does not
want anybody to know, that being will attack those who are the subject of
the secret. Scientology attacks psychiatry. It even has a special
organization to do this, CCHR.
What is Scientology trying to keep secret?
Scientology is an offshoot of psychiatry. Hubbard learned of psychiatrists bringing people back in time and he tried it, too. Just one problem.
Hubbard was not a psychiatrist, just a slick-talking, panty-waist dilettante.
Did he really have initial success, as he claimed, or were Ron's "patients" just sharing in his jubilation at having managed to poke about in their unconscious mind? What a relief that must have been, to think that their unsolved problems were a result of something they knew nothing about and had no responsibility for! (What kind of customer would think such a thing, anyway?) Those familiar with Scientology also know the rest of the story about withholds. In order for a Scientologist to have a withhold, he first must have committed an overt crime relating to the people in question. With a little research, one can find in Dr. Winter's book an account of people having been driven crazy and/or dying as a result of Ron's psych squirreling. A famous modern day example is that of Lisa McPherson, who both went crazy and then died. Thus, according to Ron, he had to destroy the Psychs to justify his squirreling, and he spent the rest of his life blaming them for everything from poor grades in school to genocide.
