I know a lot of Scientologists read this newsgroup despite orders to the contrary from Scn Management. I would like to congratulate you all for that since your Church Management leaves a lot to be desired. Think how they have overcharged for Scn services and wasted your other donations.
Think how your Church would be today if they spent money on expansion rather than legal battles paying lawyers $500 per hour and PIs to watch over critics day in day out. They could be constructing new orgs at the rate of one a week with that sort of money. Look at the Mormon Church.
Their beliefs are no more bizarre than Scientologies to the public and yet they have a Church building in most towns in the world and are an accepted part of the community. The same can not be said for Scientology. I wonder how much you have contributed to the Super Power project. That building can be completed with $35 million. That must have been collected already and yet that building is just a shell. What is it they say about Suppressives? Unable to complete cycles of action? What you have is your Church Management strangling Scientology from within.
You are being fleeced of money and they money they pressure you to donate is being squandered. Your Church will never grow into anything.
Your Church Management will see to that. And worse - the tech is being squirreled by those put in a position to protect it. It is called the "Golden Age of Tech". "Golden Age of Squirreling" would be more appropriate. The tech is getting twisted and diluted. Why would anyone want to alter the workable technology of Scientology? Do they think they could do a better job than LRH?
As a Scientologist you have a problem. You can not vote David Miscavige out of his position of power. You can not vote how your donations are spent. But what you can do is withdraw your support. Especially financially. Withdraw your support until your Church Management has changed for the better such that YOUR money is spent the way YOU want it to be spent. Let's think of the year 2001 as yopur holiday from Church of Scientology affairs until they have straightened out their act. If enough Scientologists do this the a year should see in new Management and a change for the better. It's up to you. You don't have to state a reason. It is just a case of doing what is right.
