Another profile in the RPF Newsletter #9 series: Ben Atwood.
===============================================================
Atwood, Ben -- from the US. Came from GOLD and was in the SO many years, at least 20 or more, and he's in his late fifties. He worked at Int for many years. Ben was last twinned with Doug Muller, another ex-Int staff member who worked a lot with E-meters at GOLD. Both were assigned to the RPF at Int and they were part of the 30-40 staff sent down to PAC RPF around 2001/02. In the beginning of 2004 there was a "clean-up" of many Int RPFers who were at the end of the program too long or just not moving, and many were off-loaded. Ben and Doug are two of them. Both got "probationally SP" declared and signed many pages of "gag agreements" requiring them to "shut up" and work on their "re-entry program" to come back to the Sea org, or else be really declared SP. I hope they will put their names on Google and find these stories about themselves. Maybe then they can find and read Xenu.net, Lermanet.com, ARS and all the other truth on the Internet before they give one thin dime to the cult to repay their "freeloader bill".
By the way, many people who are offloaded with probational SP declares are required to route back in to the Sea Org through the RPF! Oh boy, where is THAT line??? Let me get right in line, right now to get back in the RPF! It should be a really long line based on my information about all the recently offloaded Sea Org RPFers and the huge numbers of ex-Sea Org on the SP lists posted on the net, so someone hold my place in line if I am late! (Yeah, right!) As an aside, I really wonder if the reason for "probational declares" is so that the staff and public don't get enturbulated by how many people are getting declared. A REAL SP declare gets publicly posted; these "probational" SP declares are secret.. Also I think part of the plan is to keep the "probational SPs" from contacting others and finding out the truth. What really should be done is a "reunion" of all the ex-Sea Org members, THEY SHOULD ALL FIND OUT THE TRUTH AND BE UNITED! That would give OSA and DM something to worry about!
The Sea Org motto is, after all, "We Come Back. "After 3-5 years on the RPF, having to pay $10,000 to $100,000 in freeloader bills, just to get back on the RPF? -- DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT ANYBODY WOULD BE SO STUPID TO GET BACK INTO THE SAME HOAX AGAIN?? No, it's just a method of "disposing of" Sea Org members that "know too much" or are too old or sick to be useful. It is just a way to keep them quiet long enough before they decide to take action against the "church". The statute of limitations is only 1 year after leaving the Sea Org if one decides to take legal measures, so a complaint won't be as effective if it is not filed in court within that time period. Hopefully, all the data on the Internet will help people to "wake up" before then as the poor guys that wait for many years to speak up don't have much chance to get any recompense, as it's usually too late.

. . .
I knew Ben back in 1983, and off and on since, as an acquaintance, and I met him on the PAC RPF.
Ben gave up completing his education to join the Scn movement. He had been going to Harvard, and dropped out.
Ben had also been listed for years, as a Patron, with Vivian, his wife, and they both were Int Base staffers for years and years. In this latest IMPACT magazine, it looks like he's no longer listed as a Patron.
Ben's photo is on page 423 of the Scn Handbook. He's the man on the couch. (The Scn Handbook has a dozen or so edited and cut and pasted photos to delete the "bad" staff and replace them with newer faces of staff who are in good standing as staff, and the next edition of the Scn Handbook will likely lose this photo of Ben.)
