The next edition of the "RPF Newsletter", written by an anonymous Scientologist with many years in the cult, spotlights PAC RPFer Matthias Gahwiler. Enjoy.

Gahwiler, Matthias -- from Switzerland, he came down to the PAC RPF from GOLD in 2001. He started the RPF program at Int but around 2001 there was a big group of RPFers transferred from Int down to the PAC RPF so I don't know how long he has been on the RPF total. He's been in Scn for many years as has his brother Hannes Gahwiler, who is the Director of Promotion and Marketing at CC Int. Matthias came to the end of the RPF program with his twin Tom Brandis, but Tom was FBed [Fitness Boarded] out of the Sea Org for a medical problem. This poor guy was about to graduate and had worked hard on his "final assessment video". One day when the RPF team was out working on building an event stage made of wood, someone was horsing around with some spiders they found and somehow Tom got a brown recluse spider in his pants!! He didn't realize it at first and didn't get medical attention so the spider bite turned into a life threatening situation. When he was finally allowed to go to the hospital, they ended up having to take out a huge piece of flesh from his bottom, as big as a fist. He couldn't sit or sleep for months, much less get in good enough shape to get back on his RPF program. Tom got fed up and probably decided that he would never get back on the graduation lines again as this tragedy would only happen to someone who was " PTS" or had "missed withholds". Anything bad is always all your own fault in Scientology. Tom gave up and got a "fitness board turndown" and got offloaded. So what happens when you lose your twin? You start all over again! That's what Matthias had to do. The product one has to get in order to graduate is" to make someone else better", not "get self better" but "make someone else better". That motto is chanted routinely and dinged in with what is called " Chinese school". Someone stands in front of the crowd with a pointing stick and a poster, and yells at top of his lungs towards the crowd what is printed on the poster. This is usually some quote of LRH's "tech". Then the crowd has to repeat this in unison until the walls are echoing and with 200 people you can imagine how loud that can get! The idea is to "ding in the message" so one "thinks with it all the time", in other words, BRAINWASHING! Matthias got retwinned finally after waiting around for months for someone else in a similar situation (i.e.: same case level, security clearance, etc.). His new twin was Kettie Nossis, also from GOLD, originally from Greece. She had lost her twin Richard Nunnellee, who also was fitness boarded out.

The guys from Int can not be twinned with anybody not from Int, as this would be "out security". Finally after about 5-6 months, only working and working on the decks and making no progress at all on his own RPF program, Matthias got his new twin, Kettie, who was comparable to his case level and security level. Matthias is an incredible craftsman and can get all kinds of work done, from air-conditioning units, welding and many other areas of construction. That was his job when he was working at GOLD. I believe that with his work alone GOLD and the Renovations organization PAC and the church have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in professional fees. The craftsmanship and skills RPFers have are often overlooked and neglected when they are posted in the Sea Org, but once they are on the RPF the Renovations Org is happy to keep them around on the decks to do the many complicated and required installations. The people that write the project orders in the Renovations Organization don't give a damn about how long people are there or if they are moving on the RPF program. It's just that all hell breaks loose if someone doesn't show up for work on the decks, so making up study time to get through your program is not an option, even if you are working 12+ hours a day for months, and missing all your 5hrs study time a day to get through the RPF program. They hope you DON'T graduate, as they get free "slave labor". This is also a violation of the RPF FOs (Flag Orders); RPFers are only supposed to do "One Job, One Time, One Place", they are not supposed to be ripped off and used as integral staff by another org. The skilled and professional work RPFers do is seldom acknowledged with a thank you, it's just pushed and pounded that "this is work for Scn expansion" and other pep talks of how important this or that project is. There is always a frantic frenzy as each Hill 10 is considered by whomever's "stat" it is to be the most important thing on earth. Matthias is a real hard worker and never complains. He's the best guy to work with as he always helps his friends and trains up new guys. He's always willing and a pleasure to work with. It's too bad that not everyone is as nice and friendly as he is. It's really too bad he is being used and abused by Scientology. If he also gets kicked out for not making it through the program, like many others that have been there for 5 or more years, I hope he finds out about the big Scientology scam and where all the money is really going. If he does graduate and makes it back on post, he will probably be put in the Renovations org in PAC, as he will never get back uplines again. I feel bad for him as he's being used and if he doesn't realize it fast enough, he will spend all his life working for a fake "help organization", working on putting high quality, nicely furnished organizations in the West US, in a frantic attempt to "expand Scientology" with attractive quarters that will remain empty. He is too valuable to be set free and will only be "off loaded" when he is too sick or old to work. This is the Scientology "retirement plan." I wish I had a way to let him know all this, and I miss him as a very good friend. Hopefully he will wake up, before it's too late.
