They used to (once a week), but not anymore. A Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten, published an article on the RPF in Copenhagen on Jan 14, 2001. The journalist had actually been given by the CoS a copy of the present RPF regulations. No contact with family members is now allowed for the duration of the program. This was also confirmed in an interview with the PRO for Europe, Gaetane Asselin: "It was more upsetting for people when they were allowed to see each other a couple of hours per week, as they then missed each other even more. Better to give that up and get through the program faster." (Average time to complete the program according to that same interview is 1-2 years.)
