I decided to try to contact some Scientologists at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scientologistsclub
I first sent an email directly to the moderator saying that I was an ex-Scientologist and didn't want to infiltrate their group. But since no one was posting much of anything anyway, I could provide interesting points of view that might encourage more people to post. I waited a week and got no response.
I then decided to try to post a message directly to the board where I admitted to being an ex-Scientologist. Since they had wins with the Tech, they knew it was essential to keep it pure. So, would they be interested in learning about alterations of the technology? I then gave them the web link:
http://www.scientologyintegrity.org/htmldocs/squirrel_documentation.shtml
Well, surprise, surprise, the moderator refused to post it. He did, however, post the following cancelled post acknowledgement which I thought was interesting. It's a fairly balanced reply, but a bit sad.
It seems that some Scientologists just aren't interested in learning the truth.
QUOTE Dear Scientologists,
Recently I received a couple of messages from "basicquestions", a member of this club. I did not post either of them because they are not in alignment with the purpose of this group. We are not here to debate Scientology, nor question its existence. We are here to share our wins with the tech.
For now, "basicquestions" will remain a member of the group. The posts were not entheta, nor did they advocate entheta, they only invited doubt, which is a lower condition than this club is willing to support. However, any future attempt by any member to disrupt our group, regardless of the "good" intentions of that member will result in a ban from the club. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Our purpose statement says, "This club exists for active Scientologists to discuss their wins with the Technology of Dianetics and Scientology". If you are not an active Scientologist you should not be a member of this group. If you are not an advocate of the Church of Scientology, you should not be a member of this group. It is as simple as that.
The purpose statement that you see on the home page of the club is in part the same statement that has been there since 1999. Please respect our purpose and grant us our space. You are not required to be a member of this club. If you are not happy with this club, feel free to discontinue your membership.
