I used to be a Scientologist and was one for YEARS, however after experiencing the dangerous effects of it's auditing processes (brainwashing/hypnotic techniques), and the harmfull effects of actually being a member of the group "Scientologists" I left and haven't been happier or freer in my entire life. If you want further details on what I experienced personally and why I feel this way, just ask. That's not the main point of this message.
Some may read this and say, "Well, he just left because he had overts and withholds against the Church." Or, "He just didn't get Standard Tech applied to his case." Or, "He didn't get case gain because he was either PTS or an SP." Actually, any Scientologist who reads this will think either one or all of the above. If Scientology really was the game where "everyone wins" and if it really is "the only road out of the trap" you would think it would work on everyone 100% of the time.
Well, Hubbard knew that it didn't really work and maybe it did for some because they thought the results they were getting was from Scientology, but he needed an escape clause that people would believe if results weren't being gotten. And thus we have these factors justifying why "it didn't work."
Here's the biggest outpoint above all other outpoints in regards to Scientology: If Scientology really worked, wouldn't it be bigger than ever by now? Wouldn't it be expanding like a huge snowball that couldn't be stopped? Wouldn't there be millions and millions of OTs by now? (If OTs are cause over matter, energy, space and time, their postulates should stick, so is it that not one OT has postulated for Scientology to expand?) If OT freezoners have a big problem with Scientology management, why don't they "make it go right" and do something about changing it. Scientology management is part of the MEST universe and an OT should just be able to postulate a reform or change in OP basis.
The main thing is that if Scientology really worked, then Scientology woulld be expanding and its not. It is shrinking faster and faster every day. Scientology PR publications and events will make it seem otherwise, but if you actually stop by and look at an org, like I did recently, you will see a very empty place. I drove by Celebrity Center in Hollywood the other day and saw one security guard walking around and a couple of other people walking down the side-walk. It looked like a ghost town. I then drove by AOLA and and ASHO - I saw two Sea Org members! This was around 6:15 pm! Ten years ago, there were floods of people and lots of activity there - another ghost town.
People, just go and LOOK and see for yourself. I predict that in the next 5 to 10 years at the rate that it's going, Scientology will be practically gone. And in 20 years, will be extinc except for maybe a few hangers on. But there won't be a "Church" and I doubt freezone will be some huge booming activity either.
My main point: Scientology doesn't work!
Sincerely, Rock Slammer
