A man in NY apparently went bananas over the fact that his son was being treated for ADHD. He followed his ex-wife into the pharmacy, demanded to be given the scrip so he could destroy it, and shouted at one of the elderly customers in line that ADHD is a made up disorder and Ritalin is poison, yadda, yadda, yadda. The situation was resolved before he could incur any injuries to the pharmacist, and, more importantly, before he could go vent his rage on his wife and son.

I wonder where this ill-informed maniac got his misinformation?? Sounds like he has an impulse control/anger management problem, and while this may just have tipped him over the edge, it still shows the danger of the lies spread about by such upstanding entities as CCHR and quacks such Baughman and Breggin. It could have ended tragically. Thank God it did not.

A Long Island, New York man was arrested when he attacked a pharmacist who dispenses Ritalin. The name of this individual will not appear on this web site in order to protect the privacy of the child involved.

According to those who were in the pharmacy at the time of the attack, the man had followed his estranged wife to the drug store when she was dropping off the prescription for their son's medication. The boy lives with his mother.

After she left, the boy's father entered the pharmacy and demanded to see the prescription.

The man asked if the prescription that had been delivered by his wife was for Ritalin. The attacker then told other customers that no one was going to get a prescription filled until the pharmacist gave him the prescription so he could destroy it.

One man who was at the scene told About ADD that an elderly woman in line quietly asked the pharmacist if there were someone else who could wait on the rest of the people. According to this customer, the attacker started to yell at her, saying that ADHD was a made up diagnosis, that Ritalin was poison, and other anti-ADD comments. He also brought up the Wall Street Journal article about the Ritalin Lawsuits filed in California and New Jersey.

The man then attempted to go behind the pharmacy counter. The male pharmacist held the half-height door shut and requested that someone call the police. The man then jumped over the counter in an effort to attack the pharmacist, whom he referred to as a "poisoner."

The man was eventually stopped and detained by another customer. Police arrived around five minutes later. Management for the store has said that charges will be filed.

This sort of crime is caused by the violent and enraged hate speech of nut groups like the CCHR, sponsored by the crime cult of Scientology.

Eli Lilly should put 1% of their budget into a plan to hire private investigators and link Scientology clearly to the attack and to their hate crusade under the name CCHR.

Then Eli Lilly should direct their immense legal apparatus toward the Scientology cult and obliterate it from the face of the Earth.

Then, when they have bankrupted this vicious cult, they should purchase the names and trademarks of this hate group and start a new reformed Church of Scientology and use it to dispense the proper rituals of a Church with this name: namely, electroshock and Prozac for everyone!

The Communication Course would consist of Freudian analysis, and Dianetics would be subtly rewritten to reflect L. Ron Hubbard's true desires for mankind:
