$cientology managed to persuade Judge "L" Ron Whyte to seal certain parts of this transcript (quelle surprise!), but Keith inadvertently released the lot, at considerable personal cost.

$cientology has been industriously attempting to stuff this particular genie back into its bottle for over a year now. I put it up on my web site when they started harassing Sten-Arne Zerpe over his copy of it.

$cientology's attempts to get this page taken down have been progressively less credible. First they hired an Australian lawyer to send me a threatening e-mail (not even a real paper one, the cheap bastards), accusing me of, get this, civil contempt. Since I was not within the jurisdiction of Judge "L"

Ron Whyte's court, let alone the same country, and was not a party to the case, I simply ignored it.

Next they had one Mary Anderson from the Org here in Melbourne attempt to 'handle' me. She turned up on my doorstep several days running, but always when I wasn't there. Eventually to put her out of her misery I called her up to see what she wanted, but she wouldn't tell me unless I met her in person, which I refused to do.

After that they had dear Ava Paquette send one of her proforma bogus legal threats to APANA, the networking association I belong to. She accused me of copyright infringement, claiming I had a copy of NOTS 34 on my web site. Unfortunately, the people she was attempting to fool can read, and could see for themselves that this was not in fact the case. They rightly declined to take any action.

Now $cientology is reduced to phoning up members of APANA's management committees, and trying to browbeat them into taking action against me. They have threatened to take the matter to APANA's upstream provider, Telstra. I wish them luck.
