The American comedy Soap is one of my all time favorites. I just got hold of season 4 (the last) from 1981 and in episode 6 there is a mention of Scientology! :).

Danny Dallas and his stepfather Burt Campbell have been drugged and photographed in compromising situations with hookers. Danny is talking to one of the hookers trying to convince her to testify against the people setting them up:

Gwen: I didn't know you guys were cops.

Danny: I don't care about that.

Gwen: He told us it was a photo layer for Psychology Today.

Danny: It doesn't matter.

Gwen: I was set up.

Danny: So were we.

Gwen: I thought you guys were actors, you know models.

Danny: No, Tibs drugged us, we were unconscious.

Gwen: No wonder you didn't respond. You just lay there smiling, like a sleeping Scientologist.
