I forgot to mention earlier that the SP TIMES also had a "blurb" about our film in the NEW THIS WEEK column. It says:
"THE PROFIT (NR) (128Min) Charismatic con man (Eric Rath)builds a religious empire based on his science-fiction novels and whatever ideas he can scam. Any resemblance to the Church of Scientology is purely intentional but won't be publicly admitted by the producers. "
Why do they keep SAYING this?
After all, who better than the Church of Scientology would know if this film is about them or not? And they've officially stated that it's not.
