On page 157 of Science of Survival it states:
------------------------------------------ "There are only two answers for the handling of people from 2.0 down on the tone scale, neither one of which has anything to do with reasoning with them or listening to their justification of their acts. The first is to raise them on the tone scale by un-enturbulating some of their theta by any one of the three valid processes. The other is to dispose of them quietly and without sorrow....
...The sudden and abrupt deletion of all individuals occupying the lower bands of the tone scale from the social order would result in an almost instant rise in the cultural tone and would interrupt the dwindling spiral into which any society may have entered.
...A Venezuelan dictator once decided to stop leprosy. He saw that most lepers in his country were also beggars. By the simple expedient of collecting and destroying all the beggars in Venezuela an end was put to leprosy in that country."
--------------------------------------------- Hubbard offers as a solution the rehabilitation of such persons, which is fine, but he also offers as a viable option that for those poor, unfortunate persons whose only crime was to be endowed by nature with an incorrigible, emotional tone of anger or less, or were unable to work by virtue of a disease, he is clearly supporting a vision of a society that would "collect", "delete", and "destroy" such persons for the public good.
Moreover, Hubbard is also clearly exhibiting obvious sympathy for a dictatorship.
So here is the question:
How can you justify supporting a man who yearns for a near-perfect fascimile of the Third Reich?
wasn't a religion and so deleting people was a bad thing.
Christianity is a good thing, right? Yes of course. It does good in the world. But look what it had to go through to reach the position of influence that allows it to do good. I can't remember everything but these are a few steps.
1) God wants a monotheistic religion so his chosen people are the Israelites who are in captivity in Egypt. Despiite sending the Pharoah messages the Pharoah would not comply by freeing His chosen people. So God sends in the plagues and kills the first-born of the Egyptions. Killing of first-born soms would be considered the cruelest sort of loss so here is God killing tens of thousands of Egyptian babies in fulfillment of his plan.
2) The Pharoah lets the Israelites go but the Pharoah changes his mind at the last moment and sends his army to stop them at the Red Sea. So Moses, using God's power, causes the waters to part to get then across and then allows the Red Sea to unpart killing all the Pharoah's troops that were crossing.
3) God gives the Israelites commands on stone tablets while Moses had disappeared into the mountains for a few days. One of those commands said "Thou Shalt not Kill". So what does God do after that? He makes them a present of Jerico by bringing the walls down and the Israelites have all the fun of killing every man, woman and child in the place before moving on. So you can see that the command "Thou Shalt not Kill" only applied to Gods followers. Not to outsiders who could be killed to fulfill God's plan.
4) After a very long span of time you get Christianity spreading around the world. The Christians take over the towns and drive the non-Christians out onto the heath giving you "heathens" (non-Christians) and "cretins" (Christians). So you see the Christians are going through the process of ridding themselves of non-Christians in their midst by running them out of town.
5) The Christians run the towns since they have kicked the non-Christians out and they target Kings in other countries and convert them over to Christianity. And the kings in turn force their subjects to be Christians. The Church is so powerful that they control the kings and queens through the threat of discommunication. They have total power in many countries.
6) The Pope decides that Jerusalem should be a Christian capital and not a Muslim one so he tells the kings and queens to come up with the armies and tells the followers that they have a guaranteed place in heaven if they die in the fight to free the Holy Land. Ans so they wage a war and eventually gain entry into Jerusalem where they kill every man, woman and child in there.
7) And finally you have Christian run countries who can now do good things like helping the poor. And this is a GOOD thing.
So you see, in order to be in a position to help people, you need to get a few million people out of the way first. And so I applaud Hubbard for putting this in writing for the benefit of His followers. And I applaud their attempts at the moment to take over downtown Clearwater through subterfuge, threats, bullying, harassment, blackmail, assualt, etc. etc. because to me it would seem they are in the early stages of Christianity and if they continue they will eventually become a mainstream religion. The trouble is, at the moment, they do not seem devout enough.
