In article <cu34vt0rkv92srfovmcncgig5n0doofs5p@4ax.com>, Baron says...
Baron, I was a Cl 8 auditor doing OT Reviews and such in AOLA's HGC. I had been a member in good standing for 33 years. I had had some training and auditing from LRH, who was a friend of mine. On July 3,1983, Gary Jacobs, MAA AOLA called me to his office and asked me to give David Voorhies, an HGC Pre-OT on OT3, THORAZINE. Worse than that, Gary wanted me to tell Voorhies that it was vitamins!
I said " I pass", and left the Org with my meter and shield. I resigned the next day.
Others who were involved in this cycle can also attest to this sorry incident.
So, I suggest that you clean up your own house before you attack the psychs for prescribing thorazine. Start with Dr Gene Denk.

>For me, the non-scieno, what is a "shield"?.
Hi, Jim,
The "shield" is more specifically an emeter shield. At that time, most shields
were a nicely finished piece of wood about 2 1/2 feet long, 18" high with
pockets made in the top that you could keep small amounts of paperwork in, and a
very small "shelf" at the bottom that held the cans and pencils and hand cream
and such misc. The purpose of the emeter shield was to prevent the PC from being
distracted by the emeter, and to prevent him from seeing what was being written
on the auditor's worksheets.
