I noticed as folks in Scientology were leaving the dinner hall in downtown Clearwater that they would let only about 20 people out of the door at one time until the light went green and the next bunch of Scientologists could come out and wait at the corner. Is that part of the Bridge to Total Freedom? Being kept inside until the light changes. I'm sure as hell they didn't have the choice of red or white wine, or fries instead of baked potato. Thousand Island or French dressing. Is that the Bridge to Total Freedom? It sounds more like the crosswalk to beans and rice.
I'll cross the street when and where I want. I'll eat what I want, when I want. I'll sleep when I want. I'll listen to whatever music I want. I'll drive where I want to. I'll read what I want. I'll say what I want. I will look at what web pages I want. That is freedom. Granted we all have to conform somewhat to make our money and live life, but no one will tell me what I will enjoy or not. I can make up my own mind when it comes to those matters.
I also noticed that they did not interact much at all, and never laughed or even smiled or joked with each other. I feel really sorry for the people in Scientology that are being lied to, the younger people that had no choice because their parents were so weak as to stay in Scientology. They are truly the ones in the dark. Only time will tell how these individuals will contribute to society.
Hopefully they won't grow up to be like Claire or Travis.
