Let's see.... I've been to 11 Wiccan / Pagan festivals, where some 700 people show up and every one believes she or he is in charge. Compare that to the Crime Syndicate of Scientology where only a little person far away living in luxury is in charge.
In Wicca, one is told to oppose all attempts by people who make claims of "leadership" or otherwise set themselves up as The Only Way To Knowledge. In Scientology, one must think as one is told to think, and follow orders or be punished.
In Wicca, most Trads insist that one must never exchange money for items used in worship. In Scientology, each brainwashing center has a cashier standing ready at the door!
Scientology Inc punishes those who change "the tech." In Wicca, one is encouraged to write one's own material and never rely on anyone else's work except ones' own.
Wicca never encourages family seperation; Scientology's greatest PR problems are due to its "disconnect" policy.
Wicca never tied anyone to a bed for 17 days and tortured anyone to death.
Wiccan Charge of the Goddess states:
"Let My worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold-- all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals. Let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you."
Hubbard's charge to his brainwashed minions state:
"This is correct procedure: (1) Spot who is attacking us. (2) Start investigating them promptly for FELONIES or worse using our own professionals, not outside agencies. (3) Double curve our reply by saying we welcome an investigation of them. (4) Start feeding lurid, blood sex crime actual evidence on the attackers to the press. (5) Make it rough, rough on attackers all the way."
I have never been called by my HPs or HP and ordered to attend a Wiccan function, or buy a book. In Scientology, this occurs constantly, and one is punished if one does not comply.
Er, ah, golly---- That Wicca sure sounds a lot like Scientology! LOL!
