Save WISE Committee Announces Formation
(PRLEAP.COM) The appointment of former Sterling Management founder Greg Hughes as President of WISE, the World Institute of Scientology Enterprises, has caused dissension in the ranks of that organization. Some members who are dissatisfied with the apparent shift in focus of WISE=96a branch of the Church of Scientology=96have created their own internal league to protest.
The 'Save WISE Committee' objects to several recent decisions;
1) The removal of Don Drader as President.
"What happened?" asked one member of SWC. "Drader was Sea Org, all of WISE was Sea Org=96why did they change? No one will tell us."
2) The sale of the WISE directory to the general public. The SWC is concerned that knowledge of their status as Scientologists might cause a downward trend to their company stats.
"For $39.95, anyone can go to WISE.org and buy the 2004 dir! It was bad enough our names were on the Internet," said a member.
3) The removal of the 'What is WISE?' page from the 2004 directory.
"I don't care if people know I'm a member of the Church," an SWC member said. "So I don't care if they buy the directory=96but why are we ashamed of WISE and what we stand for? That page said WISE has two purposes. To get LRH tech in use everywhere on the planet and to support the Church of Scientology. I think we're getting too concerned with mainstreaming. If people don't want Scientology, they shouldn't get involved with WISE."
The Save WISE Committee regrets that they must remain anonymous for now. The committee will use these press releases to inform the membership of upcoming events and decisions within the organization.
