The year 200 was a banner year for the critics of $cientology, we should come up with a list of the worst momments for the cult. $cientology shot itself in the foot time after time, it may be hard to pick the best one. But I will nominate:

1) "BATTLEFIELD EARTH" as the richest in ruin for the cult. Film critics all over the world vied with each other as to who could heap the most abuse on John Travolta, Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard. David Miscavige et al had big dreams that this film would excite interest in their little cult and in a way it did but quite contrary to their interests. As a PR disaster this hard to beat, millions heard Scientologists were at the bottom of this loathsome bit of crap. how many bad reviews did it get? Hundreds. Result? Public mockery for Scientology.

2) Scientology fails to derail the civil case in the McPherson death. Yes, they did get a win of sorts by the state dropping the criminal charges but next summer the case will come to trial and the dirt about how Lisa died will be spread all over the world. This will be another PR nightmare for them.

3) The Lisa McPherson Trust makes it through the first year. This large burr under the saddle of David Miscavige is still going strong. Scientology foams at the mouth about the staff and smears them when it can but every day that it exists is another day that proves that THERE ARE NO OTs IN SCIENTOLOGY, if there were the Trust would have been destroyed long ago.

4) Scientology fails to make good on it's promise to put Bob Minton behind bars. Despite one of the biggest efforts the cult has ever made against anyone Bob Minton can still stand on the steps of the trust and thumb his nose at them.

The threats against him are now stale and tattered and the black PR that they have thrown against him has come back into their own faces. The journalists who first believed the tales spread about Bob found out who the real liars are, reporter George Noah kicked the asses of Scientology in "Nigeria Online."

And there were others too. Scientology proved to any doubters just how evil they are. And the failed efforts against Minton are more proof, if any were needed, that THERE ARE NO OTs IN SCIENTOLOGY.

There must be many other things that need a mention. These were just a few of the better moments of 2000.
