The 'Science' Of Creationism

Author: Finn Harder

I have The Genesis Flood open in front of me. It purports to be a scientific treatise in support of Special Creation, The Garden of Eden, Noah, The Flood & etc.

On the very first page of this masterpiece of "science" I find the following:

"In harmony with our conviction that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, verbally inspired in the original autographs, we begin our investigation of the geographical extent of the Flood with seven Biblical arguments in favour of its universality. ..."
According to Gish, the Bible is the one and only foundation on which creation 'science' is build. All arguments in favour is taken from Genesis and other places in the Bible.

The following references is taken from page 1-3. 6 more pages not listed, but just as liberally sprinkled with biblical references stated as facts.

No wonder that rubbish like this is rejected by serious science publications.

"Scientific" references to the extent and duration of the flood:

Genesis 7:19-20, 6:15,, 7:20, 7:24, 8:5, 8:6-7, 8:8, 8:10, 8:12, 7:11, 8:13, 8:14
As long as this is done in a church or in non-science classes, there is no problem. But when the Bible is touted as an base for science, that is a different matter.

Introducing religion into the science curriculum under the guise of science is likely to have a crippling effect on young defenceless minds.
