The media has really gotten ahold of the statement one Columbine shooting victim said, "Yes I believe in God" and people think Christians are taking it way too far....making her out to be a modern-day martyr when in fact she was just a human. What's the proper definition of martyr, and what is your opinion of her possibly being one?

A martyr is someone who knew the risk and possibility and was in fact killed for their belief and support of a cause. It would be entirely erroneous to call her a martyr. She didn't go to school knowing it might be her death. She didn't die for her school or her God. She was simply a murder victum.
