I am a libertarian -part of us are left leaning and pro-secular but need to get effectively together one of the reasons is some of us want to form an atheist country such as mentioned in www.atheista.org how do we get together and get moving so that we get more freedom and venture capital to make the new country project happen ? one of the first things is to get a mailing list how do you get it without spending money? I know the objectivists of david kelly branch are freethinkers (not dogmatic) but how does the issue get noticed and going ? thanks RicH-w

I have no idea how to answer your question. I really don't think we need to go as far as to form another country. I may not agree with some of the stupid people in this one, but I sure do love the US. If people were educated and informed, it wouldn't be so bad. Besides, just imagine the problems. First, men outnumber women among atheists. Second, atheism is a set of beliefs, not a culture or a political movement. Would someone just come on over whenever they decided they were an atheist? Would someone have to leave if they became religious? What would the benefits of this country be? Where would it be located? The list goes on forever.

your major problem you brought up can be solved by when someone reached their early teens they would presented with eather signing on as with a contract or being supported elsewhere. If you don't know there is already an atheist cookbook some possible long term symbols such as the pansy (meaning to ponder) flower. I can certainly imagine new types of music to match it that would make it a different civilazation. any way i was asking how one would get publicity for the new country. Libertarians who are left leaning want out of overegulated usa. they are political and the near theaocracy of the usa seems to make a dream of freedom feasible since the technology is avaible. thanks RicH-w
