Faithful Reader,

The 20/20 show reminded me of how the cult spews individuals who
do not fit its rigid, lock-step back into society without any attempt
to see that person survives.  This is called "offloading".

It often takes years to recover from deep involvement in the
cult, as was pointed out in the program.  (If it can be done at
all)

Anyway, one of the songs on the demo tape the scienos stole was
written about the disgarded person phenomena practiced by the
scienos, other cults and often society as a whole.
