That's what I'm trying to do here. The scieno cult is going to blow up, one way or the other. The pressure of reality is beginning to build up. If that pressure can be released, by peaceful interaction (ie scienos exerting claims in writing and in court), perhaps a peaceful settlement can be accomplished. If not, there will be anonther Waco or Jonestown. Law enforcement will never get up to speed on the cult-think, and will naturally resort to its required tool, force. When law enforcement is involved, it means force is, by definition, being used. Hillel: >Let's take a look in the "hero" of Jonestown - Ryan. Oh, no. Don't tell me you're gonna blame Congressman Ryan instead of Jim Jones, for the Jonestown massacre. By your logic, if Jones were left alone, he'd have the governments of several South and Central American countries in the palm of his hand, millions of followers ready to be lead to their deaths. Who do we call for help then? The f*cking Marines? >#[Ryan] ignored warning and plunged ahead, despite State Department >#advice that Jonestown was private property, despite the Temple's >#discouraging letters. On the plane [Ryan was] holding court to >#an audience of the press and [Concerned] relatives... If Jones >#stopped him from entering Jonestown, Ryan reasoned, he wanted >#it on film. > -- "Ain't Nobody's Business If You Do", Peter McWilliams Utter bullshit. Ryan died trying to save the children trapped within Jonestown. Children who were expendable to Jones (Korresh and Miss Carriage). >Jones moved his cult out of the US because of government pressure. See, sometimes governments *are* useful. >Congressman Ryan decided that Jones and his cult should not have >the right to be left alone, and used political *pressure* to force >Jones to accept him as a "guest." He did whatever he could to >trigger this paranoid, with news people around to document his >"victory." And there was another "big win" to the anti-cult fight. You speak the scieno words. >Now let's take a look at Waco: Give this sh-t a rest. They were cops, doing a job, who made several *tactical* errors in the execution of a very, very dangerous (as we can now see is correct) warrant for search and siezure. The testimony of the 14 year old, raised in the cult, raped by Koresh at 10, gave a picture that could not, legally have been ignored by any law enforcement. >People like Reno and Ryan are much more dangerous than the cults, >scientology included. They have real power - state power, and >they have no problem with using it for political gains. That's why enough people trust them to elect them. The public knows how dangerous it is to give a person such power. They creat the powerful positions and elect people to them because there is a job they don't want to have to do themselves, and they want someone they trust to do it. >Early "governmental intervention" will just push cult paranoids >faster into the destructive phase, and the government will >use that to demand even earlier government intervention. You are going in just the direction the scienos want. "Leave us alone." Let us work in the darkness. By the time you notice our influence in society, your children will have been indoctrinated with Hubbard's Study Tek at school, each Usenet group will have a corporate sponsor, and Sonny Bono will be the Republican nominee for President. >I respect the right of people to be left alone much more >than I respect the wisdom of the government. If I hear my neighbor's child being beaten daily, and he won't stop doing it, I'm gonna see someone goes into his house, with or without his permission, and stops it. If you don't think that child abuse goes on within scn, waco or jonestown, you are severly ignorant, Hillel. (or a closet scieno) Either way, I hope you recover soon. +--------------------------------------+ Rev.
