This reminds me of a story. Something I will remember til I die. In the early 70's, after my first wife left me, I was living with a girlfriend. We had a child together. I decide not to marry her and to proceed with my plan to join the c-org. We split up and it broke her heart. At a party a few months later, I bumped into her and her brother. She was still too broke up to talk to me. But her brother called me out for being a scumbag, in front maybe 50 people. I was a bigshot then. Everybody at the party knew me. It was a scene. Rather than lose a tiny bit of precious face, I said something, almost exactly like you (above). Gathering my authority, I pronounced, "Get real. You're not even an auditor. I *train* auditors. I did more for humanity *this afternoon* than you have in your whole f-ing life." I was dead rong. People should not be required to do the "right thing", Aytch. Just like your ISP. Morality isn't a uniform issued to people that they have to wear in order to function in society. It might work that way for a while, but it would become perverted and authoritarian. Morality is more an invisible metal that people pin to their *own* hearts in order to remind themselves that it's better to be a good person. +--------------------------------------+ Rev.
