    I wouldn't push the analogy to it's limit, and with all due
    respect to Those crucified in the past, I really am being 
    subjected to some sort of bazarre and barbaric public torture 
    at the hands of the scienazis.
    
    I haven't told the whole story here yet.
    
    But, for all of you who were concerned about my having begun 
    chain-smoking 3 packs a day immediately after the scieno 
    raid, I have, for the last month, not had a single (not even 
    a puff) cigarette.  Last couple of days I've really missed 
    the dark comfort that wonderful slow-motion suicide in my life.
    
    I quit smoking in the middle of all this to prove to myself 
    who is in charge of my life.  It's a little trick I use to
    delude myself into believing it's me.
