This past >Sunday I noticed they ran a 15 second PSA (Public Service Announcement) for >The Way to Happiness Foundation. > >I called their programming department and told them that The Way to Happiness >Foundation was a front for the cult of Scientology. They said they'd look >into it. I replied that I wanted to pursue this to see the matter resolved, >and they promised to get back to me. > >A few hours later, they called me back and said my claim had checked out, and >they were cancelling the PSA. (They actually had two separate spots, and >were cancelling both of them.) > >I then called two other network affiliates in Pittsburgh, KDKA (CBS) and >WTAE (ABC). Neither was running or had recently run any spots for Way to >Happiness, Narconon, Dianetics, or the Church of Scientology. I told them >that WPXI had just ditched a PSA for Way to Happiness, and I was concerned >that the Church might try to move its PSA to one of the other stations. None! > >-- >-- Dave Touretzky, KoX (SP4): copyright scofflaw lurking under The Bridge. > L. Ron Hubbard sez: "DON'T YOU DARE read http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Fishman" Dave, That's perfect. I've done the same thing with LA Stations. They're always very happy to cooperate once they know who they've been dealing with. These kind of actions in every town and sphere of influence will surgically remove the cancerous cult from society. It will be well worth the effort if we can avoid a Waco/Jonestown type confrontation. Don't you think? +--------------------------------------+ Rev.
