    She was a party girl in the cop/fireman scene.  Somehow she 
    got this Det. Simmons to come to the custody case back in 
    1985 (along with several other SD cops) to testify on her

    me about involved people my ex was partying with.

    No, you are right.  It is I who misread it.  But I cannot swear 
    that Diane's statement is true, and therefore I cannot let it 
    stand.
