   When Manson got out of prison he took the Comm Course (TRs)
   at LA Org when it was on 9th street.

   I'll bet it helped him focus all his psychic engergies for the
   upcoming task of controlling his followers and setting off
   Helter-Skeleter.  This was also probably the birth of 
   Crimanon.
