Really (to Pope Charlie): >>All I see is scineo-like nay-saying. Me: > This is the second time you have made unflattering comparisons > between the tactics of scienos and their critics. If you > really gave a shit about the people you're insulting in this > way, you would discuss it with them in private, and not use > this kind of ugly rhetoric to refute the statements of people > you then claim to be your friends. No Name: >whoa, big guy. >did you email? No. But he got it and answered. >(for that matter, am i?) Am you what? >does O. Really know >enough about the Pope to hold him in the same esteem you do? O has made some unflattering, from the hip comments about me too. I'm just indicating my displeasure about his occasional cheap approach. >was it really ugly rhetoric, or does it express a sentiment that >i also had at that particular post? It could be both, but I don't know you well enough to say. It was cheap rhetoric to compare Pope to the scienos. If there is criticism of my compatriots, which there often could be, I'd perfer it be done accurately. Not with some broad-brush, insulting, from-the-hip comment. >i have a hard time finding the words, but somehow the strength >of a.r.s is honest, open expression of diverse thoughts, and >working through them to the understanding of just how dangerous >and depraved the cult really is. You seem to be doing quite well. I enjoy reading your posts. >O. Really is an honest and effective critic, as certainly the Pope >is. I can understand you wanting to see them in tandem, but not the >kind of tandem of milne and cory. I stand up for my friends. The Pope certainly qualifies. >this level of disagreement actually >reassures readers that the people involved *are* real persons and can >be believed. That's why I'm so disagreeable. It's reassuring to me, too. >=== tritium (h3) ---- anon47fa@nyx.cs.du.edu "I always *try* to be helpful, but sometimes I just end up being irritating." - YHN +--------------------------------------+ Rev.
