Precisely, Pope. I'm sure they want to distance themselves from the perception of any scieno influence over their service. >Anyway, they will have to stick with a mailing list for >'fellowship'. Maybe the reformers could start their own >newsgroup, alt.religion.scientology.reform or even >alt.religion.scientology.reform.moderated. >Its about time reform get started in Scientology. There has been no real reform since the insurrection of the Mission Holders (franchisees) Meeting at Flag in 1981. If scienotology were anything more than a sick, mindfucking scam, they would ditch the writings of Hubbard on many subjects. They would throw out the authoritarian little prick-dictators that threaten to RPF them if they "backflash." They would throw off their slavish obedience to Elrong and instead "think for themselves." But they won't. Those below are too accustomed to cowed obedience and not exhibiting any critical thoughts. They are aware that they might be subject to the dreaded "Knowledge Report." And those above know that they need complete obedience from their underlings in order to be insulated from being brought to justice for crimes. Nope, Pope. Reform of such a repressive, predatory regime is not possible. But if there ever was a time for the staff and membership of scn to engage in reform, now would be it.
