There were MANY companies that survived the Great Depression which began on Black Thursday, October 29, 1929. Six of them were:
Ford (1903) Goodyear (1898) General Electric (1876) Proctor & Gamble ((1837) General Mills (1866) Quaker Oats (1901, company established 1911)
